Ben Franklin Bridge Run & SheRox Bermuda
&The NYC Marathon
Believe it or not... all of these were on the same day. We had a very big group (60+) compete in the Bridge Run. Congrats to Jen McCarthy who once again blew it away and to all of the women who had their personal best times for a 10K. About 10 of our members flew south to Bermuda to particpate in SheRox Bermuda. Not your typical Bermuda day. They biked through gale force wins and up windy, steepy hills...but they did it! Congrats ladies. It was a beautiful day for the New York City Marathon. Congrats to Kat, Colleen and Kim for completing the 26.2! Thanks to everyone for such an amazing season.
SHEROX 2011
Many thanks to the rain gods for holding off what we thought was going to be a wicked triathlon. It fact, the weather was perfect. We had over 70 members participate in SheROX, for many of us it was our 4-5 race of the season and a great way to cap off a very successful year. We will have oodles of pictures to post .. but here is what everyone wants to look at THE RESULTS! Congrats to Emily Damuth, Jen McCarthy, Val Murphy, Andee Bramblett and Laura Longo who were our MHWTC top 5 placements. Congrats to everyone ( including those who got flats and penalties and those who were injured and showed up for moral support).
Queen of the Hill
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for our first ANNUAL Queen of the Hill Sprint Triathlon.
Organizing this triathlon was a labor of love and there are many people to thank! Michelle Powell started the wheels turning in March and was the main reason this triathlon was a success. Thank you Michelle for the copious amount of hours and sheer dedication. You made Queen of the Hill a success.
We had 185 women cross the finish line. Half were from our club, the other half were from all over the state. There were also many women who traveled from PA and New York. We hope you enjoyed the beauty of our small town. The gentle rolling hills, the horses, the farms and of course the private lake we were so lucky to be able to swim in.
This was the first triathlon for many. Congrats to all the newbies who crossed that finish line for the very time. Special mention to our first ever QUEEN: Colleen Neely from Maple Shade, NJ and her Court: Emily Furia from Conshohocken, PA and Maya Hunnewell from Medford NJ.
We had quite a few club members who had medals placed around their neck. Congrats to the following MHWTC for rocking Queen of the Hill.

Parvin Sprint Triathlon, June 17, 2011
We love Parvin! This was the 2nd year for many of us. A picture perfect day and perfect triathlon conditions. Congrats to all of the MHWTC finishers. May the tradition continue!
Our second annual Fabulous Friday Night 5K was a wild success! We had over 90 runners in attendance and every single one had a smile on their face after the race. A great deck party followed to celebrate. Andie Bramblett placed a very respectable 3rd with a time of 21:41. Newbie Laura Longo looked like she never even broke a sweat with a time of 21:33 and 1st place overall for the second year in a row with a spectacular time of: 21:08 the AMAZING... Jennifer McCarthy! Thank you ladies for what I hope will be an annual event!
BROAD STREET RUN, May 1st 2011A perfect day to run 10 miles. We had ~ 40 MHWTC members proudly wearing their new pink tech shirts. It was the first time for many including: Barb Beske, Joanie Lodge, Healther Scheckner, Gay Sommers.. just to name a few. Congrats to our under 8 club... those who maintained under an 8 minute mile for 10 miles! Jennifer McCarthy, Laura Longo, Joanne Lopresti and Kat Garrity!

April Fools Run, Atlantic City NJ ~ April 3rd, 2011 We did it! About 25 members completed either the 7K or 11K of the first annual April Fools Run in AC. It was a beautiful day, a great race followed by good food and even a little shopping! Congrats to Jennifer McCarthy and Laura Longo who placed 2nd and 3rd in their age division! Way to go girls! South Harrison 5K March 26th 2011
Thanks to everyone who supported our neighboring town and fellow club members in South Harrison! What a great way to start the day. Brisk but beautiful, such a clean well organized course. Congrats to Maureen Brigham, Laura Longo and Chrissy Batra who all placed FIRST in their age category.
